If one end of a sliding scale is Accountability, then the other end is Sneaky; and nothing of value has ever been achieved acting close to the sneaky end of the scale. Yet implementing a culture of accountability is a true skill. Leaders need to refine their capacity for difficult conversations, soften on the way they deflect blame from themselves and master unifying their team so that they help each other thrive rather than protect their own sand castle.
